Another Christmas has come and gone. Boy did it go fast too. I was in Dallas for work the week before Christmas and we were still receiving the kid’s gift purchases through the mail right up until Christmas Eve. This was the most hectic, last-minute Christmas ever but it came off pretty much without a hitch in the end. I had most of my shopping done in early December but Melissa had the responsibility for the bulk of the kids’ gifts. I bought Sharon and Kayleigh some pretty heart lockets and bought the three oldest new mp3 players which they seem to like. Other than that, we had lots o’ toys for all four and some clothes for the girls. James has made it clear he has no use for clothes. Heehee. He is not going to be a metrosexual for sure. Melissa and I exchanged some nice gifts and we were all very blessed with a great day and one fine turkey for supper. We even did some home improvement projects in December which was probably way too ambitious in retrospect. We are ready to close the books on an excellent 2007 and I just look forward to 2008 hoping we all continue to have good health and things stay smooth.
November was a busy month. James’ football team (the Vikings) made it all the way to the championship game and even though they lost in the championship – the playoff atmosphere and football down the stretch was exciting. Glen and Suzanne came down for the weekend of the semifinal playoff game and the championship game. We also had the November birthdays and Thanksgiving going on. Skeez came down for Thanksgiving and hung out with us. We played Trivial Pursuit 80′s Edition and Trivial Pursuit 90′s Edition and ate like Romans. Suzanne made some good bread and Melissa made our normal favorites (turkey, cornbread stuffing, heavenly hash, green beans w/ bacon & onions, mashed potatoes, squash). I unfortunately didn’t get any pictures of the Thanksgiving spread this year, but took other pictures throughout the month.
